Terms of Use

Effective from: 5 November 2026. Last updated: 5 November 2026.

See also our Privacy Policy.

1. About these terms

Field & Market is provided by Amerigo GmbH, Basteiplatz 5, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland ("Amerigo", "we", "us" or "our"). These terms apply when you subscribe to, receive, read or use Field & Market. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use your data.

By subscribing with the box on the Subscribe page ticked, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not subscribe.

2. What Field & Market is

Field & Market is a free brief on coffee-growing regions. It includes:

  • a weekly email with the brief for the regions you follow, with a web version and a PDF;
  • for buyers, a weekly brief on the farms and exporters they buy from;
  • frost alerts between the weekly briefs, for frost-prone regions, if you switch them on;
  • farm reports on the plots you send us through our form;
  • for cooperatives, a brief for their own area, which may include a note from their agronomist.

3. Who may use it

You may use Field & Market only if you are 18 or older and able to agree to these terms.

Field & Market is meant for people who work in coffee: growers, cooperatives, exporters, importers, roasters and traders. If you subscribe for an organisation, you confirm you may do so on its behalf.

4. A free service that may change or stop

Field & Market is free. We may change what it contains, how often it is sent, which regions and languages it covers, or stop it altogether, at any time. Where we can, we will tell subscribers before we stop it.

Field & Market may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of technical problems or causes outside our control, and a brief may be late or skipped. We are not responsible for this.

5. Information, not advice

Field & Market describes measured and forecast conditions. It is not agronomic, financial or trading advice.

It tells you what the data shows, such as rain against the usual amount, soil water, greenness, the forecast, fires and prices. It does not tell you what to do on your farm or in the market, and nobody at Amerigo has assessed your farm, your crop or your business. Decisions you take after reading it are yours.

We do not give legal, financial, accounting or tax advice through Field & Market.

6. Recommended actions

Some briefs and farm reports may show recommended actions, such as preparing frost protection or taking a soil sample. When they are shown:

  • They are an automated, AI-assisted opinion based on weather, satellite and soil data and on general good-practice rules. They are general information only.
  • No agronomist or advisor has assessed your farm. Neither Amerigo GmbH, UnitedTradestation nor this system acts as your agronomist or advisor, and the actions do not replace advice from a qualified professional.
  • Check every measure with your own technician, and follow local rules and product labels, before you act.
  • Any decision is yours and taken at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, Amerigo GmbH, UnitedTradestation, their affiliates and their staff accept no liability for any loss from using or relying on them, and you agree to hold them harmless from any such loss or claim.

7. Agronomist's notes

A cooperative's brief may include a note from the cooperative's own agronomist, marked with the agronomist's name. That note is the cooperative's own guidance and belongs to the cooperative. Amerigo did not write it, does not check its advice, and only delivers it with the data. Questions about a note go to your cooperative.

8. Data from other sources

Most of what the brief shows comes from public satellite, weather, soil, forest and price services run by others, and each source is named in the brief. That data can be late, incomplete or wrong, a forecast can change, and a satellite may not see the ground through cloud. When a value cannot be trusted or is missing, we try to show it as "not available" rather than guess, but we cannot promise that every value is correct.

We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of data or services provided by others.

9. How you may use the brief

You may read the brief, keep it, print it, and share it inside your own business or cooperative, and quote short parts of it with the source "Field & Market by Amerigo". You may not:

  • sell it, or include it in a product or service you charge for;
  • send it in bulk to people outside your business, or publish it in full;
  • collect it automatically or copy its data into another database;
  • remove the source credits or our name from it.

Your personal links (to your brief, settings and unsubscribe page) are for you. If you forward a brief, the person who receives it can use those links as if they were you.

10. Our rights in the content

The text, design, graphics and software of Field & Market are protected by intellectual property rights, which belong to Amerigo GmbH or to those who licensed them to us.

Data from public sources remains subject to its own licence, as named in the brief's source line. The Field & Market name and mark are ours.

11. What you send us

Use Field & Market only for lawful purposes.

When you subscribe or ask for a farm report, give us correct details. Send us only plots you farm, manage or are allowed to share, and only the details of other people (such as fellow cooperative members) if you are allowed to give them to us. You let us use what you send to prepare your brief and your reports.

12. UnitedTradestation and other sites

The brief may link to UnitedTradestation, a coffee trading platform also run by Amerigo GmbH, and to the websites of our data sources. Registering or trading on UnitedTradestation is separate from Field & Market and is governed by UnitedTradestation's own terms and privacy policy. Reading Field & Market never obliges you to register or trade.

Your use of other websites is at your own risk and under their own terms.

13. No guarantee

To the extent the law allows, Field & Market is provided "as is", without any promise of any kind. In particular we do not promise that it will meet your needs, that it will arrive on time or without interruption, that its data will be accurate or complete, or that any error will be corrected. Nothing we tell you, in writing or by speaking with you, creates a promise that is not in these terms.

14. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Amerigo GmbH is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Field & Market or your reliance on it, including loss of crops, profit, revenue, business or data, or indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.

15. Ending

You can stop at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email. We stop sending at once.

We may stop sending Field & Market to you if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop the service. Sections 5 to 8, 13, 14 and 19 continue to apply after that.

16. Events beyond our control

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, civil unrest, failure of public data services or of the internet.

17. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and for important changes we will tell subscribers by email before they take effect. If you keep receiving Field & Market after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can unsubscribe at any time.

18. General

  • Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours, for example to another company of our group.
  • Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, that part applies as far as it can, and the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up.

19. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Zürich, Switzerland, have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection that the law of your country gives you and any right to bring a claim in your own courts.

20. Contact
